Sea of Galilee

Sea of Galilee

What is going on in the world today? It is a little scary—is it not? Are there any good things happening? We are bombarded by the bad things we see reported on social media, the internet, television, radio, and newspapers. Has it always been this way? Or is it getting worse? What course is mankind on? Let’s just mention a few things we read, or hear about—almost daily.

Killings on our streets and in our neighborhoods; Abortions and selling of fetal body parts; Racism; Illegal aliens crossing our borders; Threat of nuclear weapons being used; Earthquakes; Floods; ISIS in Mideast, Europe, and United States; Iran nuclear deal; Pornography; Sex trafficking; Lesbian and gay marriage; Divorce; Illicit drugs; Cheating, stealing and lying; Humanism; Genetics; Taking God out of everything.   And you can add much more to this list.

Can you see and sense the movement toward a one world religion?

Can you see and sense the movement to a one world government?

Can you see and sense the movement to a one world currency?

Has man pushed the self-destruct button?

Is our planet in a grave crisis?

Do you believe in God?

Do you believe God is in control?

Do you believe the Bible is God’s Word to mankind?

Your answer to these questions will determine if your life will stand or fall when it is tested by the stresses of this world.

Satan is alive and well on this earth. Man is born with a sinful nature. This started with Adam and Eve. The beauty is that God has a plan for the world and for you. This plan is unfolding quickly.

To understand the spiritual warfare going on let’s describe the two sides and their make-up.

God the Father, God the Son-Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

Satan, Beast-Antichrist, and the False Prophet.

We will discuss this spiritual warfare in more detail in the future events section.

Church in Hawaii

Church in Hawaii

What about our churches today? The church has an identity crisis; has become an organization operating various programs; the degree of Biblical illiteracy in churches is beyond belief; has stooped to worldly values; pulpits are weak and vacillating; provide entertainment and not true worship; are not a lighthouse; and preaches the social gospel. In fact some entire church denominations are slipping away from the Word of God.

The church was called to be a royal priesthood, a peculiar people. The church is to be a lighthouse that reaches out to the world and proclaims Jesus Christ.

The good news is that we live in the church age—or time of the Gentiles. This is a time on earth during which those who follow Christ are to share Christ with others. The power behind this is the Holy Spirit who lives with the hearts of Christians. Reports from around the world tell of countries, or portions of countries, having revivals and evangelistic explosions in which hundreds and thousands are making decisions for Christ.

But in God’s timing, this church age will come to an end. The Holy Spirit is alive and well. The problem is that mankind is slowly drifting further and further away from things of the Lord. We do not listen as the Holy Spirit knocks on our doors and we do not let Him in. At some point in time, and that could happen soon, God will say “Enough”!
